The Top Celebrity Weddings of the Year on Tomorrow's Hangout!

Think you know everything about the year's biggest weddings? We may not have had a Royal Wedding this year -- Princess Madeleine of Sweden said "I do" but no one was really watching -- but plenty of Hollywood stars got hitched all over the world, including big budget blow-outs (see Sean Parker and LeBron James's weddings) and budget-friendly City Hall "I dos" (see Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard).

On tomorrow's episode of From "I Will" to "I Do" The Bridal Bar's Harmony Walton and Glamour's Kim Fusaro will be joining me to dish about who wore which designer wedding gown, where the A-listers got hitched, and all the fun details that we wish we could have seen in person -- once again, see Sean Parker's fantasy wedding world.)

It's Time to Plan a Royal Wedding!

And while I'm not actually involved in the royal wedding plans I am covering ever detail of it on aisledash.com.

Here's what real brides can take away from the royal engagement and wedding:
  1. If you're still shopping for the perfect engagement ring maybe you want to get one that looks like Kate Middleton, or another princess bride.
  2. There will be a lot of decor and wedding details that you can get inspired by -- it's just a matter of time until we learn what those details are.
  3. A royal wedding will follow a different format from American weddings, maybe you want a similar format for your big day:  Formal ceremony in a house of worship followed by a luncheon with a limited number of family members and close friends.
  4. If getting engaged in Kenya is not in the cards, why not book a safari honeymoon?  I'll have details on where Prince William and Kate Middleton stayed (and got engaged) in Kenya tomorrow on aisledash.com.

Secret Celebrity Weddings on WEtv

Okay, so this post is a bit of a plug.  I was interviewed months ago on Secret Celebrity Weddings - a special for WEtv that will air tonight and probably re-air many times in the future.

One of the things I learned about secret celebrity weddings is that while the main reason for the secret is to protect their privacy everyday people can do some of the same things for their own wedding.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick had a surprise wedding - they surprised their guests who just though they were going to a party.  You can do the same thing, though I would wear a wedding dress instead of a black dress like SJP wore.  She's been quoted as saying that the black dress was her one regret.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer garner were married on a tropical island with one witness - their offiicant, the bride's co-star, Victor Garber.  There are plenty of secluded beaches you can choose for an intimate wedding.  Talk to local resorts and hotels on the island of your choice to find out what your options are.

You can watch the show to learn more about secret celebrity weddings, but when looking to celebrities for wedding inspiration remember that there are ways to have those details at your budget.  Just think creatively.
